FAQ

WorldMark by Wyndham

About

WorldMark the Club operates on a “vacation credit” (points) system which allows for greater flexibility in timeshare ownership. The credit system allows you to choose location, unit size, length of stay, and time of travel each year. The number of vacation credits needed to reserve a particular vacation depends on the time of year, the size of the unit, the day of the week, and the resort location.

If you are interested in learning how to buy or sell a timeshare within WorldMark, the Club, feel free to browse our website or call us for more information.

Frequently Asked Questions

General information on how to use, buy, and sell WorldMark credits on the resale market.

Q: How does the Vacation Credit system work?

A: Vacation Credits become available annually on the anniversary date and each allotment of credits carries over for 12 months. Full or partial credits can be borrowed from the following year if necessary for a desired reservation. Any unused Vacation Credits at the end of an anniversary year automatically carry over to the next year and expire at the end of that year.

Q: How much are the Maintenance Costs?

A: WorldMark by Wyndham maintenance costs are quite low in comparison to many clubs. Click the link for a breakdown of WorldMark Maintenance Fees.

Q: What check-in days can be booked and are there any minimum stay requirements?

A: The WorldMark credit system allows for check-in on any day of the week depending on resort availability. Club guidelines require a seven night minimum stay if booking in the High (Red) Season 91 days to 13 months in advance. There is no minimum stay during the Mid and Off (White and Blue) seasons which can be booked 48 hours to 13 months in advance. A two-night stay is required on weekends when both Friday and Saturday nights are available.

Q: Can WorldMark owners travel to the South Pacific Club or Wyndham Vacation Resort locations?

A: The Asia Pacific resorts are part of the WorldMark South Pacific Club which operates separately from WorldMark, The Club. The two clubs have a reciprocal exchange agreement which allows owners’ use within both networks of resorts.

Similar to the South Pacific Club, WorldMark has a reciprocal use agreement for a limited number of properties and units within the Wyndham Vacation Resort network. The list of resorts is not guaranteed and is subject to change or discontinuation at any time. The South Pacific Club and Wyndham affiliate locations offer WorldMark owners even greater flexibility with their timeshare ownership.

Q: What is the difference between a right to use contract and usage for perpetuity?

A: WorldMark offers two different contract types: a forty year right to use contract, or usage for perpetuity which allows for use of bonus time. The bonus time option gives Owners the ability to pick up available units or last-minute cancellations 14 days in advance for a small fee without using account credits.

Q: What are housekeeping tokens?

A: In addition to annual Maintenance Fees, WorldMark utilizes housekeeping tokens. Each anniversary year owners are allowed one free housekeeping service for each block of 10,000 credits owned. A housekeeping fee will apply to any additional reservations booked within the same anniversary year. Housekeeping fees are dependent on the size of the unit and must be paid at the time of booking.

Q: What are WorldMark owners’ exchange options?

A: WorldMark owners have the option to exchange with RCI, Interval International, or SFX Preferred Resorts. WorldMark has a “Confirm First” agreement with both RCI and Interval International which allows owners to check on units available for exchange prior to depositing credits.
